Privacy Policy of DexConnect Software Application

Please read the following carefully:
it will be deemed that you consent to share the following product location information with DexConnect.

Permission Authorization

We asked for location permission solely to allow you to connect your home Bluetooth devices. We will also use your GPS and get the nearby weather to display on the screen.

How do we collect your data?

In order to provide Bluetooth device finding and weather query functions, the APP will collect location data; even if the application is closed or not in use, such data will still be collected.

When using the APP, the device will prompt you to agree to share location information, including location information collected through Bluetooth and GPS signals. By default, the app will ask you to turn on the "Allow when this app can be used in the background" option in the location service in order to provide you with the best service experience.

Allow all the time: Even if you do not open the App, we can still collect location information at any time. If a service needs “Allow all the time” we’ll ask for your permission when you enable the service.

GPS location data is data that can be used for local temperature. When you open the APP, the weather forecast temperature will be displayed on your screen.

Bluetooth data is data that can be used to find devices. When you open the APP and connect to a Bluetooth device, you will find whether the device is nearby.

What data do we collect from you?

The following is what data we collect from you:

1. Local Weather Temperature Service- This is data provided by you or collected by us in order for use the Weather Temperature Services. This includes your GPS location. The exact data we collect and obtain temperatures through third-party weather services, but only if you agree to share your location data with us.

2. Find a Bluetooth Device Service - This is personal data provided by you in order to use Find a Bluetooth Device Service. This includes your Bluetooth's RSSI. We will ask you to provide some necessary data in order to find your Bluetooth device and link it.

Information We May Share

We promise never to sell data. We will only inquire about the temperature in your location from third-party weather services with our authorization.

Information Gathered

No personal information nor device information is gathered when you download and utilize our application by the meantime, except location information. But the data will not be sent to our server

Data preservation and deletion

If you have requested that the data be deleted or anonymized so that others cannot identify you through the data.

Keep personal data safe

We are committed to protecting the security of users' personal data. We will use appropriate technologies and organisations to help keep your personal data secure, but no system is 100% secure. We have implemented various policies such as anonymization, access rights and retention policies to prevent authorized access or retention of unwanted personal data in our systems. Your account and password are also very important. In order to protect your account, we recommend that you use a strong account password to prevent cracking, and it is not recommended that the password is related to personal data.
