There are three main types of gas valves used in modern gas appliances:
  • Manual Gas Valve
 – Operated by hand (e.g., a knob or lever)
 – Simple and reliable
 – Common in basic cookers, portable grills, or fryers
  • Automatic Gas Valve
 – Electronically controlled by a thermostat, timer, or sensor
 – Enables precise temperature control and enhanced safety
 – Ideal for ovens, heaters, and commercial appliances
  • Combination Gas Valve
 – An integrated system that combines multiple functions:
Gas flow control, Safety shutoff, Pressure regulation, Pilot or main ignition control
 – Works with an ignition module to automatically ignite and monitor the flame, especially in fireplaces, water heaters, and furnaces

At Grand Mate, we offer all three types — including custom-designed combination gas valves built for seamless integration with ignition systems and certified to international standards like ANSI Z21.78, CSA, CE, or UL.
